
Appa Public School, Kalaburagi, made its mark at the Young Scientist Competition, with the 6th-grade team securing second place among several participating schools. Their innovative project showcased the use of drones in agriculture, focusing on improving soil fertility, efficient water usage, pest control, and enhancing crop yield. The team — Kumar Advit Basavaraj Khajuragi and Kumar Omkaragowda Siddana Gowda Biradar — highlighted the affordability and ease of drone operation for farmers, earning widespread appreciation. Guided by their science teacher, Swapna Bijapure, the students’ achievement was lauded by Pujya Doddappa, the 9th Peethadhipathi of Sharana Basaveshwara Samsthana, who congratulated them for their excellence.
