Students of SMS Academy of Central Education, Kodagu, performed strongly at the taluk-level patriotic song singing competition conducted by Bharat Scouts and Guides at Good Shepherd School, Ammathi. The Basava Scout Troop boys won first place, while the Cauvery Guide Company girls secured second. Both teams have qualified for the district-level competition to be held at DHQ Madikeri.
