Vaishnavi Kamanache of class 10 from Bharatesh Central School, Halaga, secured first place in the 1,500 metres and third place in the 800 metres at the CBSE Cluster State-Level Athletics Meet held in Davanagere. She has qualified for the National Championship to be held next month in Varanasi.
