Mahabodhi School, Saraswatipuram, Mysuru organised the Mahabodhi School Youth Parliament 2026 in association with the Central Institute of Representative Democracy, Bengaluru. The initiative marked a historic milestone as the first youth parliament conducted by school students in the city. Student parliamentarians underwent intensive training at Vidhana Soudha under the guidance of J Gnanashakher and Gopi T. The programme was held in the presence of Venerable Bhikkhu Sobhana Bhanteji, Venerable Bhikkhu Panyabodhi, Jikmet Wangdus Jyothi, and other dignitaries. Students of classes 8 and 9 actively participated and conducted structured discussions on important issues such as drug abuse, cyber safety, road safety, regional harmony, and civic responsibility.
