Karnataka swimmers continued to dominate the action in the pool, bagging as many as seven medals, including three golds and as many meet records, on the second day of the 78th Senior National Aquatic Championships in Bhubaneswar on Monday.Shoan Ganguly won the men’s 200 medley gold with a new meet record of 2:04.34 seconds, bettering the old mark of 2:05.64 by his State-mate Siva Sridhar set in Guwahati in 2022. Siva finished with a bronze this time with a timing of 2:05.75.Dhinidhi Desinghu earned Karnataka their second gold and record of the day, when the Bengaluru girl touched the pad in a time of 2:02.97 for a new meet record in the women’s 200m freestyle, bettering her own mark of 2:04.24 she set in Hyderabad in 2023.The third gold and NMR came in the mixed 4x100 freestyle event with the quartet of Rujula S, Latisha Mandaana, Akash Mani and Tanish Mathew finishing atop the podium in a time of 3:41.18.
