The Karnataka swimmers continued to stamp their supremacy in the pool, clinching nine medals, including a meet record on the third day of the Senior National Aquatic Championships in Bhubaneswar on Tuesday.Karnataka’s Rujula S won the women’s 50m freestyle with a meet record by clocking 26.36 seconds, bettering the old record of Hyderabad’s Rujula Khade (26.45). RSPB’s Vihan finished second with a timing of 26.58, while Karnataka’s Anish Deshmukh (26.69) came third.Adding to Karnataka’s gold tally, Vihitha Nayrana Loganathan finished first in the 50m breaststroke, clocking 29.96. Goa’s Sanjana Rishikesh and Bihar’s Soubrik Das came second and third, respectively.In the men’s 50m breaststroke, Srihari Nataraj added an extra gear to take first place with a time of 27.25, while Monish Mahajan of Goa was second in 27.38 and Kerala’s Ganesh was third in 27.44.
