Army Public School's students win Bengaluru Zonal Championship

At the Bengaluru Zonal Champions of the Prajavani Quiz Championship, Niyati and Ridham from Army Public School staged an impressive comeback, clinching victory in the final round after an initially modest performance. The quiz, held at Viveka Auditorium in Jayanagar, saw fierce competition from teams representing 120 educational institutions across Bengaluru and nearby districts.

The event, orchestrated by quizmaster Meghavi Manjunath of ‘Curiosity Solutions’, tested participants on a wide range of topics, challenging their wit and knowledge. The duo’s triumph not only reflects their dedication but also sets an inspiring example for their peers to follow.

J Padmanabha, Director of Sir MV PU College, Davangere, uplifted spirits further by announcing free first PUC admission to the winners of the Prajavani state-level Quiz Championship. Additionally, members of the six zonal champion teams advancing to the state level will each receive a scholarship worth Rs 1 lakh, acknowledging their academic prowess.

The event was graced by notable figures including Lokayukta Justice B S Patil, who highlighted the importance of positive thinking in his inaugural address. He emphasized that positive thinkers contribute significantly to society, becoming invaluable national assets.

G B Vinayakumar, founder of ‘Insights IAS’, and Kumar R, Regional Business Manager of ‘Pilot Pen’, along with other dignitaries, were present.

The inclusivity was quite remarkable. It was refreshing to see participation from schools that usually don't appear in other quizzes, including government schools. This quiz truly celebrates the joy of discovery.

Typically, quizzes have an intense competitive atmosphere focused on winning and scoring points. However, the Prajavani quiz was different. The questions were so fun and engaging that we were more absorbed in answering them than in tallying our points.
