Brilliant teens win big at state-level quiz

At the bustling Vivek Auditorium in Jayanagar, the excitement was palpable as Army Public School, Bengaluru's duo, Niyati Jois and Ridham Srivastava, clinched the top spot in the thrilling state-level Prajavani Quiz Championship 2024 held on Monday. This quiz fest, co-powered by ‘Pilot Pen’ and Wonderla, saw teams from across the state battling wits in a fierce contest of knowledge and quick thinking.

Runners-up from Sri Taralabalu Jagadguru High School, Davangere, Manasi Shah and Brinda Satyapriya, put up a strong fight to secure the second prize, while J Chinmay and S Chirag from Excel Public School, Mysuru, snagged the third place. The event attracted support from big names like Wonderla and Poorvika Mobiles, adding extra zest to the competition.

Selected from victorious zones including Mysuru, Kalaburagi, Hubballi, Bagalkot, and Bengaluru, the six final teams were the best of hundreds who competed zone-wise. Students from classes 7 to 10 challenged each other on a broad range of topics from local affairs to global trivia, keeping everyone on the edge of their seats.

The winners walked away not just with the championship title but also cool tech prizes: tabs for the champs, a mobile phone for the runners-up, and another trendy gadget for the team in third place. Even the audience got a shot at winning prizes from Wonderla for answering pop-quiz questions right!

The award ceremony was a star-studded affair with notable personalities like Prajavani’s Executive Editor Ravindra Bhat, and representatives from Pilot Pens and Wonderla, celebrating the brilliance and quick wit of these young quiz masters.

The quiz was very tricky and was nice. It's analytic thinking rather than bookish.
