Govt ends tenure of heads of boards, corpns

The government has directed all its departments to immediately end the tenure of non-official heads of all boards and corporations coming under their purview.

The department of Public Enterprises has, in an order dated May 26, said the department heads concerned will hold the posts till further orders. The previous Congress government had nominated party leaders as heads of government boards and corporations.

The JD(S)-Congress coalition government headed by H D Kumaraswamy will nominate new heads for these boards and corporations in the coming days.
