Man reunites with family after 20 years

A man who went missing 20 years ago from his hometown Kunju in Ongole of Andhra Pradesh, was reunited with his family recently.

Venkatesh Prasad, aged 60 years, was brought to Snehalaya at Manjeshwar in Kasargod on October 16, 2012, from the streets of Surathkal. He was in a pathetic condition. He was admitted to Yenepoya Medical Hospital for treatment after treating him with physical care.

"After he was discharged from the hospital, he was counselled by a Snehalaya psychiatric social worker so that the authorities could get his address. On April 6, 2018, he was sent to Shraddha Rehabilitation Foundation for reunion with his family," said Joseph Crasta of Snehalaya.
