While Maddur tops the list in pass percentage in the district with 82.43%, Srirangapatna stood last with 53.37%.

Speaking to DH, DDPI Surya Prakash Murthy said that the poor percentage of Srirangapatna taluk students was the reason for Mandya slipping to the 28th position. Measures would be taken to identify the weak points and rectify them, he added.

Morarji Desai Model Residential School in Srirangapatna taluk and Government High School at Honnanayakanahalli have secured 100% results.

Chamarajanagar district, which was in the 12th position slipped to the 24th position. However, there is not much difference in the percentage. Out of 9,898 students who appeared for the exam, 7,370 have passed, with an overall percentage of 74.47%.
