JOIN USA youth was found stabbed to death at Nehru Nagar in Hubballi here on Friday. Police have detained three persons in connection with the murder.
Police said Basavaraj Yallappa Kakati (22), a native of Neelgatti village in Gokak and was a salesman, had been residing at his relative's residence in Nehru Nagar. He had gone for a walk when the incident happened. He and one of the accused, identified as Surya, had an altercation over the sale of a camera. His body was found with stab injuries on chest and stomach near PK Quarters at Nehru Nagar on Saturday. Relatives confirmed his identity.
Police Commissioner D C Rajappa and other senior officials visited the spot. Rajappa assured that the accused would be nabbed soon.
APMC police have registered a case.
