The Election Commission on November 10 declared the winner of Alamnagar Assembly Constituency (AC No 70) in Madhepura district which went to polls on November 07, 2020. Narendra Narayan Yadav of the Janata Dal (United) won the Alamnagar seat beating Rashtriya Janata Dal candidate Nabin Kumar by a margin of 28680 votes.
In Bihar Assembly Election 2015, JD(U) candidate Narendra Narayan Yadav won Alamnagar constituency seat with a margin of 22.8% securing 87962 votes against LJSP candidate Chandan Singh.
