The Election Commission on November 10 declared the winner of Forbesganj Assembly Constituency (AC No 48) in Araria district which went to polls on November 07, 2020. Vidya Sagar Keshari of the Bharatiya Janata Party won the Forbesganj seat beating Indian National Congress candidate Zakir Hussain Khan by a margin of 19702 votes.
In Bihar Assembly Election 2015, BJP candidate Vidya Sagar Keshri won Forbesganj constituency seat with a margin of 13.6% securing 85929 votes against RJD candidate Krityanand Biswas.
