Brandy gets a Ganesha tattoo, calls it an Egytian god

The 31-year-old described the image as an 'Egyptian god' when responding to questions from a fan on Twitter, after she uploaded photos of her new tattoo.

After seeing the pictures, one of her Twitter follower asked, "Is that Ganesh?"

"Yes it is. Egyptian god! Remover of all obstacles," she wrote in response.

She was quickly informed by another reader that Ganesh is actually a Hindu deity, not Egyptian.

Brandy has had a busy year in 2010, filming two seasons of her own reality show entitled Brandy And Ray J: A family Business alongside her brother, an R&B singer who is most famous for being the man in Kim Kardashian's sex tape.

She competed on the 11th season of Dancing With The Stars, placing fourth in the competition overall.

The singer also recorder her sixth studio album in collaboration with super-producer Timberland which is due for release early next year.
