Actor Alia Bhatt took to Instagram on Thursday to share a couple of photos from the shoot location of her upcoming film Brahmsastra. In the pictures, she is seen alongside her co-star Bollywood heart-throb Ranbir Kapoor and director Ayan Mukerji. The magnum opus has created a fair deal of buzz among fans as it will mark the Dear Zindagi star's first collaboration with B-town's resident 'Saawariyaa'.
The film has a stellar supporting cast that includes 'Megastar' Amitabh Bachchan, Tollywood actor Nagarjuna and Mouni Roy. The biggie was supposed to hit the screens last year but that did not happen due to the Covid-19 pandemic. While the makers have kept the finer details of Brahmastra under wraps, the buzz is that it will have a larger-than-life storyline and mark the beginning of a series/trilogy.
Alia, meanwhile, is going through a busy phase on the work front and will soon be seen in the hard-hitting drama Gangubai Kathiawadi. The film is slated to hit the screens in July and features her in a fierce new avatar, which has garnered a fair deal of attention for the right reasons. She is also awaiting the release of the pan-India movie Rise Roar Revolt (RRR), directed by Baahubali helmer SS Rajamouli. It stars Jr NTR and Ram Charan as the parallel leads and will release in theatres on October 13. The period-drama has a stellar cast that includes Ajay Devgn, Samuthirakani, Olivia Morris, Shriya Saran and Ray Stevenson.
Ranbir, on the other hand, will soon be seen in Shamshera. He has teamed up with Kabir Singh director Sandeep Vanga for a 'dark thriller' titled Animal. It features him in an intense new avatar and is likely to be a gamechanger for the hero. The cast includes Anil Kapoor and Bobby Deol. Ranbir also has a movie with Luv Ranjan in his kitty. He recently revealed that he was planning to marry Alia last year but the plan did not materialise due to the lockdown.
