Did not initially take Nick Jonas seriously, says Priyanka Chopra Jonas

Actor Priyanka Chopra Jonas told talk show host Oprah Winfrey that she initially did not take Nick Jonas too 'seriously' when he first messaged her as there was a significant age gap between the two.

The 'Desi Girl' added that she realised her mistake when she met the Jumanji 2 star in person and found him to be a self-assured individual.

PC also said that her relationship with Nick is similar to the one her mother shared with her father.

"They worked together, they lived together, they built a home together, they built a life together in equal partnership," she said.

Priyanka and Nick first met during the Vanity Fair Oscars party in 2017, which marked the beginning of their love story. The young star soon reached out to the Fashion actor and expressed his feelings. The two arrived together at the Met Gala 2018, indicating that they were in a relationship.

The lovebirds tied the knot a few months later, becoming 'man and woman'. Priyanka and Nick recently floored fans with their chemistry when they announced the nominations for the Oscars 2021.

PC, meanwhile, is going through a busy phase on the work front. The Dostana star recently hit the right notes with her work in the movie The White Tiger, which was based on Arvind Adiga's novel of the same name. It revolved around the journey and dark past of an entrepreneur, played by Adarsh Gourav, and received rave reviews for its effective presentation. Priyanka essayed the role of 'Pinky Madam' and hit the right notes with her work. She will soon be seen in Matrix 4, featuring Keanu Reeves in the lead. The Quantico star also has the series Citadel in her kitty.

Nick, on the other hand, was last seen in the action movie Chaos Walking and is likely to announce his upcoming movies in the coming months.
