Actor Alia Bhatt took to Twitter on Wednesday to share the official teaser of her upcoming movie Gangubai Kathiawadi, creating a buzz among fans. The short video features the versatile performer in a powerful new avatar that is likely to click with her die-hard fans. Bollywood's' favourite 'Student' apparently plays the role of a fiesty brothel madam in the Sanjay Leela Bhansali-helmed biggie.

The teaser suggests that the actor has done justice to the challenging role by channelling her inner 'boss lady'. Her expressions and body language are as awesome as anything can be.

Alia received rave reviews from critics with her performance in Highway, which hit the screens in 2014. She consolidated her standing in the industry with her work in Udta Punjab, Dear Zindagi, and Raazi. She hit the right notes with her work in Gully Boy, her first film with actor Ranveer Singh. The young star even put her best foot forward in Sadak 2 even though the Mahesh Bhatt-helmed biggie failed to impress most critics.
