Actor Prabhas will soon be seen playing Lord Ram in the eagerly-awaited movie Adipurush, one of the biggest films of his career. According to a report carried by Cinejosh, the makers of the high-profile mythological drama may unveil the mass hero’s look from the Hindi-Telugu bilingual on Sriramanavami (April 21). This, however, is yet to be confirmed.

Adipurush is an adaptation of the epic Ramayana and celebrates the ‘victory of good over evil’. It is being directed by Om Raut, who helmed the 2020 blockbuster Tanhaji. The biggie will be shot on an impressive budget and feature VFX. The film has a stellar cast that includes Saif Ali Khan, Kriti Sanon and Sunny Singh.

The Race actor, who plays the antagonist ‘Lankesh’ in Prabhas’ magnum opus, landed in a controversy when he said that the movie would show the ‘humane’ side of Ravan. He later apologised for his remark and issued a clarification.

There have been talks of Bollywood actor Kajol playing a key role in Adipurush but this is yet to be confirmed.

Prabhas, meanwhile, is going through a busy phase on the work front and will next be seen in the romantic drama Radhe Shyam. The film, starring Pooja Hegde as the leading lady, has been directed by Radha Krishna Kumar and is slated to hit the screens on July 30. The Baahubali hero also has the Prashant Neel-helmed actioner Salaar, co-starring Shruti Haasan, and a movie with Bollywood star Deepika Padukone in his kitty.

The buzz is that he may soon collaborate with War helmer Sidharth Anand for an action-thriller to be shot on a grand scale. According to reports in the Telugu media, there is a distinct possibility of ‘Darling’ teaming up with Mirchi and Janatha Garage helmer Koratala Siva for what is likely to be the twenty-fifth movie of the Saaho star’s career.
