‘RRR’ new poster: Ram Charan’s intensity is hard to miss

The poster has been revealed on the eve of Ram Charan's birthday

Director SS Rajamouli took to Twitter on Friday to unveil the latest poster of his upcoming movie Rise Roar Revolt (RRR), giving fans a reason to rejoice. It features actor Ram Charan as the legendary freedom fighter Alluri Sita Ramraju and does justice to the star’s reel image. The Yedvadu hero’s intense gaze and physical transformation are as impressive as anything can be and proved that he has put in extra effort to get the right look for the Baahubali helmer’s magnum opus.

RRR is touted to be a period-drama that revolves around the fictional adventures of two real freedom fighter. It stars Jr NTR, who plays the tribal leader Bheem, as the parallel lead and is the biggest movie of his career. The pan-India biggie is being shot on a budget of Rs 400 crore and may prove to be another Baahubali for Indian cinema.

RRR stars Bollywood actor Alia Bhatt as the leading lady and will mark her Tollywood debut. Her look from the film has piqued the curiosity of fans. The cast includes Shriya Saran, Ajay Devgn, Olivia Morris, Samuthirakani and Ray Stevenson. British actor Daisy Edgar-Jones was to be a part of the biggie but opted out due to ‘personal reasons'.

The film is slated to hit the screens on October 13.

Charan, meanwhile, is going through a busy phase on the work front and will next be seen in Koratala Siva’s Acharya. The actioner features his father ‘Megastar’ Chiranjeevi as the protagonist and has a hard-hitting storyline with religious undertones. It is slated to release in theatres in May.

‘Mr C’ is also set to team up with maverick filmmaker Shankar for a movie being referred to as RC 15. It will be shot on a budget of Rs `150 crore and feature a commercial storyline. It may star actor Rashmika Mandanna as the leading lady opposite the ‘Mega Power Star'.
