'I have my own little boundaries': Zendaya on why she will not confirm Tom Holland marriage rumours

Zendaya and Tom Holland's romantic relationship was confirmed in 2021. Since then, the couple has kept a low-profile, keeping their relationship away from the public eye.

Zendaya has been serving bridal looks with her all-white gowns of late. Add to it, the wedding band-looking ring that she had been flaunting on 'that' finger for quite some time now. All of these, seemingly subtle hints, are enough to feed her marriage rumours with Tom Holland.

Rumours of their marriage further heated up when Zendaya's long time stylish Law Roach told Access Hollywood at the red carpet of 2026 Actors Awards that "the wedding has already happened." He further teased, "You missed it."

Now Zendaya, who have been eschewing the rumours for weeks, have revealed why she decided to maintain a loud silence about the grand news.

In an appearance on The New York Times’ Modern Love podcast while promoting her film The Drama with Robert Pattinson, Zendaya gave a sneak-peek in her otherwise mainly private life.

She said, "There is a level of, like, a parasocial, like, investment in in my personal relationship, which I understand. I am aware that I'm a public person and so is he, and I'm also aware that, like, we've grown up in front of people, and we've done movies where we, like, fall in love with each other. So it's like, I really do understand that, and I don't want to dismiss that, like, 'Stay out of my business,' or whatever."

Zendaya and Holland's relationship was confirmed in 2021 and the couple since have maintained a low-profile. This Zendaya, said, is because she is a very "private" person.

"In a lot of ways, I also am a very private person and I try my best to be able to have things for myself, and for him as well," Zendaya said. "And so we do our best, in general, to not hide ourselves from the world, but just to, I think, preserve things for ourselves so that we can maintain that joy just within ourselves and our loved ones and our family."

She also addressed the growing curiosity around her personal life with the Spider-Man star and said, "I hear it, but I also like my own little boundaries of what I like to bring up and talk about, but then also what I'm also willing to share."

Echoing the words of her lady love, Holland, in an interview in June 2023, told The Hollywood Reporter, "Our relationship is something that we are incredibly protective of, and we want to keep it as sacred as possible."

It is obvious that the fans are not getting the much-awaited confirmation about the good news anytime soon from the couple.

On the professional front, apart from The Drama, which she is currently promoting, both Zendaya and Holland have a busy year ahead as they are set for a whirlwind 2026. The couple will be seen in The Odyssey, releasing July 17, followed by the blockbuster franchise Spider-Man: Brand New Day, releasing July 31.

Zendaya also has her separate outings lined up as she will star in Dune: Part Three alongside Timothee Chalamet and Robert Pattinson. To top it all off, she’s bringing Rue back to screens for Euphoria Season 3.
