<p>Sushil Kumar, the simple lad from Bihar’s Motihari district, who scripted a rags-to-riches story in November last year when he won Rs 5 crore in the popular game show “Kaun Banega Crorepati(KBC)” is now dancing, literally. <br /><br /></p>.<p>When KBC host Amitabh Bachchan had asked him what were his plans, the 29-year-old computer operator who earned Rs 6,000 working for the MNREGA scheme, said: “I want to compete for the IAS . I will go to Delhi and prepare for the civil services examination.”<br /> However, smitten by the charm of the small screen and the fame that comes along with it, the crorepati winner’s attention is now on tinsel town and to shake a leg before dancing diva Madhuri Dixit. On Sunday, he put his best foot forward and participated in the dance show “Jhalak Dikhla Ja”, being telecast on Colors channel.<br /><br />“I still find it difficult to believe that I have danced in front of Bollywood greats like Karan Johar and Madhuri Dixit. She has always been my favourite actress, and performing in front of her made me nervous as well as thrilled,” said Sushil, who is not a trained dancer.<br /><br />“I was initially confused and reluctant when the offer for “Jhalak Dikhla Ja” was made to me. But my wife persuaded me to don the dancing shoes and give it a try,” he added. Seema, whom he married in May 2011, is at present staying with him in Mumbai so that Sushil does not feel uncomfortable in the glitz and glamour world of tinsel town.<br /><br />Incidentally, Sushil was approached last year for “Big Boss” too, but was advised by Seema to stay away. “Is it a quiz show? What will you do there?” she told Sushil and then hastened to add, “He is too gullible to enter ‘Big Boss’ house.”<br /><br />In fact, Sushil had rarely watched episodes of “Big Boss”. But when the offer actually came, he sat down to have a close look. “Terrible. I will be kicked out in a day,” he exclaimed.<br /><br />“He is such a simpleton…. he does not know the manipulations required to be in the Big Boss. Rather I would have performed better had they invited me,” said Seema, who told Sushil in clear terms that the offer, no matter how lucrative, was not good as he does not fit the bill.<br /><br />But in “Jhalak Dikhla Ja”, where his competitors are Ravi Kishen, Isha Sharvani, Talat Aziz and Sanath Jayasuriya, Madhuri Dixit introduced him as “the common man who became superstar of the masses.”<br /><br />Earned applause<br /><br />The simple guy, who earned applause (and crores), could not have asked for a better name, fame, glory and glamour. And what about his plans for the UPSC civil services examination?<br /><br />“Destiny has its own course which no body could determine,” he argued philosophically.</p>
