Malayalam actress Mamta Mohandas ties the knot

Noted Malayalam actress Mamta Mohandas today entered into wedlock with family friend Prejith, a Bahrain-based businessman at a resort here.

The couple got engaged at Muvattupuzha in Ernakulam district last month.

The marriage was attended by film personalities, besides their friends and relatives.

The bridegroom arrived at the venue in a chariot to the accompaniment of percussion instruments.

Twenty six-year old Mamta made her debut with Malayalam film 'Mayookham' made by veteran director Hariharan in 2005. She has acted in over 30 films, in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam.

In Mollywood, she has shared screen space with superstars Mammootty and Mohanlal and also action star Suresh Gopi.

Mamta, a trained singer, has also acted with Jayaram, Dileep, Prithviraj and Kunchako Bobban.

Her notable films are 'Bus Conductor', 'Athbutham', 'Lanka', 'Madhu Chandralekha', 'Bab Kalyani' 'Big B', 'Musafir' and 'Nayika'.

Actors Vinneeth and Samvratha Sunil, directors Hariharan, Sathyan Anthikad and Shyam prasad and producer P V Gangadharan were among those who attended the wedding.
