'My magical May': From Vijay's iconic victory to 'Karuppu's' success, Trisha celebrates 'one more win'

It seems Trisha has more than one reason to celebrate this May.

Trisha is currently basking in the roaring success of Karuppu. Despite facing several last-minute delays and getting stuck in a cycle of cancelled shows, the Suriya and Trisha starrer went on to become a blockbuster.

The film has earned more than Rs 160 crores globally becoming one of the biggest hits of the year in Tamil cinema.

Trisha is celebrating the massive success and for all the right reasons.

Taking to Instagram on May 20, Trisha shared a carousel of images from the sets of Karuppu. However, it was the caption, though short and simple, that caught all the attention.

Trisha captioned the post, "My magical May said, one more for the win
Just God things."

Soon after the post went viral, eagle-eyed fans were quick to point out a specific detail in the caption given Vijay's recent historic win in Tamil Nadu Assembly Elections. It was 'one more for the win'.

After a major political whirlwind in Tamil Nadu, Vijay sworn in as the Chief Minister on May 10.

Fans were quick to put the pieces together as a fan commented, "Code word accepted....one more for the win", while another said, "caption iykyk (if you know you know)."

One more fan commented, "I know what she meant in the caption, but I can’t prove it".

Another said, "One more for the win: 1-TN elections, 2-Karuppu."

Of late, Vijay and Trisha's bond has been a matter of extreme speculation. Rumours regarding their relationship fueled after Vijay's wife Sangeetha filed for divorce and the duo has been seen together in multiple outings recently.

On the day of TN elections result, which also happened to be Trisha's birthday, she also visited Tirupati temple to seek divine blessings. Fans soon linked the visit to the Vijay's political debut.

On May 10, Trisha was also seen attending Vijay's oath-taking ceremony as she was seated in the VIP row along with Vijay's family.

After the ceremony, Trisha also shared a carousel of images on Instagram with a cryptic caption that read, "The love is always louder".

Interestingly, on May 12, the actor-turned-politician had also approved special 9 am shows for the Suriya-Trisha's film two days before its initial release. However, the film ended up releasing a day later, on May 15.

All of this, coupled with Sangeetha's hard-hitting allegations, has been leading to questions around the duo's bond.

Directed by RJ Balaji, Karuppu is a fantasy action film which has been roaring at the box office.
