Ram Gopal Varma reviews 'Dhurandhar 2', says it's '100 times better than Sholay'

Ram Gopal Varma has called Dhurandhar 2 'cinematic grammar breaking' and described it as 100 times better than Sholay in magnificence.

Dhurandhar: The Revenge is already receiving rave reviews.

Veteran filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma has showered the Ranveer Singh starrer with an over-the-top review.

Declaring that the film is 100 times better than Sholay in magnificence, Varma had nothing but the best choice of words to describe the movie.

“After last night's watch of Dhurandhar 2 in terms of its sheer cumulative impact in every which way, whether on its expected collections, audience euphoria, social influences, cinematic grammar breaking,” Ram Gopal Varma wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

He further wrote that the film "is bound to make all the greatest films made so far starting from Mughal-E-Azam onwards look like TV serials.

Calling the Aditya Dhar-directorial the birth of a new cinematic order, RGV wrote, "This is the BIRTH of a NEW CINEMATIC ORDER and the ruthless extinction of everything that that ever existed before in the previous WORLD of CINEMA."

The Satya director further praised Dhar, saying that he has redefined what the word director even means.

He even suggested Steven Spielberg and Christopher Nolan to watch the film.

"It will be prudent and wise for even STEVEN SPIELBERG and CHRISTOPHER NOLAN to drop everything they are doing, and catch #Dhurandhar2 FIRST DAY FiRST SHOW," RGV concluded.

What fans have to say on RGV's post?

However, a few fans were quick to question the extraordinary review given by RGV.

One user, while tagging Grok (X's AI model to fact check and seek information) wrote, "why RGV is appreciating and promoting it as his own? Is he one of the investors?", while another asked, "is this a paid tweet?".

While others came in support of RGV and his review. One wrote, "That’s a bold claim , comparing it beyond Sholay and Mughal-e-Azam is no small thing. If it delivers even 30% of this vision, we’re witnessing something historic."

Another wrote, "When a filmmaker speaks with this level of conviction, you know something extraordinary is coming. Can’t wait to witness this on the big screen."

A few others were quick to spot an interesting thing in the post. RGV has, in what seems to be an unintentional move, promoted a domain name, before.in, which is currently on sale.

One user wrote, "ok.. but why are you promoting a domain name?"

A second advised, "Hey, Please check you just accidentally promoted domain before(.)in which is on sale in secondary market."

However, by the looks of it, at most, it looks like a mere typing error, instead of an intentional promotion.
