Rashmika Mandanna pens a note as her maiden Telugu film ‘Chalo’ turns 3

'Chalo' marked Rashmika Mandanna's Tollywood debut

Actor Rashmika Mandanna took to Twitter a couple of days ago to thank Venky Kudumula, the director of her maiden Telugu movie Chalo, on the third anniversary of the film. She shared a few photos from the shoot location, taking a trip down memory lane.

Chalo, which featured Naga Shaurya as the protagonist, revolved around a young man’s fight for love. It received rave reviews from the target audience, emerging as the highest grosser of the hero’s career. It had an impressive supporting cast that included Mime Gopi, Pragathi, Achyuth Kumar and Satya. Its soundtrack was composed by Swara Sagar and included songs such as Chal Godava and Drunk and Drive.

Rashmika’s comments about Chalo come at a time when she is going through a terrific phase on the work front. The ‘Kodava Beauty’ was last seen in the Telugu movie Bheeshma, which emerged as a hit at the box office.

The film featured her in a new avatar and marked her first collaboration with Nithiin. She will soon be seen in the Kannada movie Pogaru co-starring Dhruva Sarja. The film has the potential to help her consolidate her standing in Sandalwood.

Just like Pogaru, the Telugu movie Pushpa too is likely to be a gamechanger for ‘Geetha’. The film, directed by Sukumar, has created a buzz among fans as it marks her first collaboration with Allu Arjun. The prestigious project revolves around the smuggling menace and is slated to hit the screens in multiple languages. It reportedly features Rashmika in the role of a government officer while ‘Bunny’ plays a lorry driver.

Rashmika is also set to enter Bollywood with the eagerly-awaited movie Misson Majnu, co-starring Sidharth Malhotra. There have also been talks of her doing a film with ‘Megastar’ Amitabh Bachchan. One may receive an update on the film in the coming weeks. Either way, Rashmika might emerge as the ‘next big next thing’ in the film industry if her upcoming movies make an impact at the box office.
