‘Toxic’ star Yash upset not threatened by Ranveer Singh’s ‘Dhurandhar 2’: Report

With every passing day, the buzz surrounding 2026’s biggest face-off between Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown Ups and Dhurandhar: The Revenge is creating a massive noise. Amid the swirling rumours, new reports suggest that Yash is quite upset with the makers of the Ranveer Singh film. It isn't just about the box office competition, but 'Rocking Star' is reportedly disappointed by the lack of a 'courtesy call' from the Dhurandhar makers before they claimed his long-standing release date.

According to a report in Variety India, Yash is “irked” with the makers of Dhurandhar for not informing him about releasing their film on the same date and is not willing to push his film’s release.

The publication reports that Yash is very much confident of his movie and its content and is not threatened by the Dhurandhar sequel, which is why he is firm on the March 19 release. “Toxic was officially announced three years ago in December 2023. His fans have since been waiting to see him on screen. Yash doesn’t want to back off and disappoint his fans,” a source close to the project told the publication.

The insiders further said that Yash is particularly irked because Toxic’s schedule has been put in public knowledge since last year. He feels that a simple phone call from the Dhurandhar 2 producers could have handled the situation gracefully.
