Akshay was seen offering prayers at the sacred temple of Lord Shiva in Ujjain along with his mother-in-law, Dimple Kapadia, on Wednesday morning.

Makaleshwar Temple in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, has recently become a popular spot among celebrities, drawing numerous famous personalities. Akshay Kumar is the latest name to visit the shrine.

The Bhooth Bangla star offered his prayers on Wednesday morning. He was seen offering prayers at the sacred temple of Lord Shiva along with his mother-in-law, Dimple Kapadia.

On his exit, Akshay interacted with the media and briefed them about his visit. He said that he prayed not just for himself but for the entire country and his loved ones.

"It was really good... I prayed for the entire country and my family. I prayed that our country may always excel and progress," he told ANI.

Earlier, celebrities like Suniel Shetty, Vidya Balan, Ekta Kapoor, Neelam, Vidya Malvade, Rupali Ganguly and Yash have visited the shrine and offered their prayers.

As one of the twelve Jyotirlingas, the Mahakaleshwar Temple on the Shipra River remains a pivotal pilgrimage site for devotees of Lord Shiva. The temple is perhaps best known for the Bhasma Aarti performed in the early morning hours of Brahma Muhurta, from 3:30 to 5:30 AM.

On the career front, Akshay Kumar is set to return to the big screen this April in Priyadarshan’s Bhooth Bangla. Backed by Balaji Motion Pictures and Cape of Good Films, the movie marks their first collaboration in nearly 14 years and features an impressive lineup of stars like Tabu, Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Jisshu Sengupta, Asrani and Wamiqa Gabbi.
