West Asia conflict | Situation normal in UAE, no need to panic: Actor Swasika

Speaking to reporters after landing at the Kochi airport, the Oru Anweshanathinte Thudakkam actor said that the situation was "normal" there.

Malayalam actor Swasika returned from the UAE on Wednesday amid the ongoing tensions in West Asia due to conflict between US-Israel and Iran.

On her return, she interacted with reporters and said the situation in the UAE is not "panicky".

Speaking to reporters after landing at the Kochi airport from Abu Dhabi, the Oru Anweshanathinte Thudakkam actor said that the situation was "normal" there and people are facing no difficulty as such in continuing with their daily lives activities.

Malayalam Actress Swasika, who arrived at Kochi International Airport from Abu Dhabi, told ANI, "Heavy panic situation is not there, but still, as we are from another country, so definitely we will get a little panic... I was supposed to come on 28th February... Everything was under control..."

She arrived in a chartered flight that carried around 186 passengers.

PTI reported that some other passengers who arrived on the same flight echoed her views and said that the situation was normal and "there was no need to be panicked".

PTI spoke to a native of Malappuram, who also travelled on the same flight. He said local administration is taking the requisite measures in ensuring safety.

The conflict in West Asia is into Day 5 and US and Israel are carrying out fresh attacks on Iran while Tehran also continues to be on offensive. There have been reports of bombings in several Gulf countries, including UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and others.

Iran is targeting Israel and American military bases in the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Kuwait, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia.
