From fake moon landings to the origin of Covid-19, we have read numerous conspiracy theories that influence us to dig deeper into them and come up with our own findings.

Movies and cartoons have given enough fodder for crazy conspiracy theories. These theories have fan bases across the world, thanks to the advent of social media.

Open Sesame lists some of the most bizarre conspiracy theories about popular cartoons.

1. The bikini bottom of SpongeBob SquarePants is the result of a nuclear testing ground.

Have you wondered why so many weird creatures live under the sea in the show? Some theorists believe that there was a massive nuclear test on the Pacific Island which led to the spread of nuclear radiation. This is why there is a talking sponge, a plankton, who is well-versed with technology, and a squirrel who wears a diving suit with an air tank. Some believe that they are immortal.

2. The Pokemon adventure is nothing but Ash’s imagination.

Pokemon lovers might find it difficult to digest this theory. We all love to watch Pokemon involved in different battles and adventures. But some conspiracy theories argue that the story of Ash Ketchum’s experience is nothing but his imagination while being in coma after he was struck by lightning in the first episode.

3. Nobita ultimately becomes a great scientist in Doraemon.

Doraemon and his gadgets are popular. We know that Doraemon is a 22nd century robot who came from the future to help Nobita, who is dull, lazy, and unsuccessful. But have we ever wondered about the ending of this manga series?

It is believed that Doraemon shuts down after his battery runs out. Nobita seeks help from Doraemon’s sister but fails eventually. This inspires Nobita to become courageous and he works towards becoming a scientist in the future to bring back Doraemon’s life.

4. The characters from Winnie the Pooh need medical attention.

Winnie the Pooh is one of the sweetest animated series. People adore the characters. But according to some theorists, they have medical issues. Apparently, Winnie the Pooh, who is obsessed with honey, has an eating disorder. Piglet is fearful of future outcomes, indicating an anxiety disorder, while Eeyore is dull and shows less or zero enthusiasm in life, suggestion depression. The bottom line is they all are in desperate need of medical attention.

5. Tom and Jerry are friends.

In some episodes of Tom and
Jerry, both the central characters help each other and share a cordial bond. There are fan theories that Tom and Jerry are pretending to be enemies. They say, Tom, chases Jerry always so that the owner cannot replace him with another cat and kill Jerry.
