Family of four killed in accident

A family of four members, including two children who suffered burns, breathed their last in a tragic accident at Udayapura on National Highway 75.

G Vivek Nayak (38), his wife Reshma Nayak (38) and daughter Vinanthi (9) died on the spot after their car crashed against a toilet.

Their five-year-old son Vighnesh breathed his last on the way to a hospital. The family hailed from Nayakwadi village in Gangolli taluk.

Nayak had contacted his mother on Wednesday night and had promised to reach the house before 12 pm in to participate in the first death anniversary of his father D G Vittal Nayak.

The family sources said the bodies are likely to reach the house in Nayakwadi on Friday. The funeral will be held at the GSB Community Crematorium.
