Goa-Delhi IndiGo flight delayed as passengers fight

An altercation between two fliers of a Delhi-bound flight from Goa delayed the journey by around one hour and 20 minutes as the crew were forced to shut the plane doors for a while during boarding.

The incident took place on Wednesday night at Goa airport  on an IndiGo flight.

The flight was to take off at around 10 pm but as the boarding was half-way through, two passengers entered into an argument and almost had a fist fight, according to another flier. It appeared that both the persons were from the same family.

"There was a lot of commotion and other passengers were a little frightened. The cabin crew then closed the doors of the plane," the passenger said.

Fliers had some anxious moments till the two fighting passengers were pacified and allowed to travel on the plane, which took off at 11:20 pm. The plane touched down in Delhi at 1:35 am on Thursday.

It was not immediately clear if IndiGo has filed any complaint against the passengers.
