
Chikkamagaluru CMC President Shilpa Rajashekar said that all measures will be taken to distribute houses for civic workers under Gruha Bhagya scheme within six months.
Speaking at the Civic Workers' Day celebrations on Monday, she said that civic workers have been toiling hard to keep the city clean. Along with giving priority to the cleanliness of the city, the civic workers should give priority to their health, she added.
She called upon the civic workers to educate their children by availing the facilities from the government.
BSP district unit President K T Radhakrishna called upon the civic workers not to fall prey to bad habits.
Commissioner M V Tusharamani said that the civic workers should come to the mainstream of society.
Prizes were distributed to the winners of various competitions held as a part of Civic Workers' Day. Earlier, the civic workers took out a procession from taluk office to Ambedkar Bhavan.
