PWD Minister H D Revanna has said that he does not interfere in others’ portfolio.
The minister was responding to reporters at Kushalnagar on Saturday.
He added, “I do not interfere in other departments. The opposition leaders have been unnecessarily levelling allegations against me.”
To a query on the Home Department being given to M B Patil, Revanna said, “It is not related to me and left to the Congress to decide. The fourlaning of the highway from Mysuru to Mani will commence shortly. The work on developing the roads that were damaged in the natural calamity in Kodagu has been taken up. About 40% of the works have been completed and the remaining works will be completed within two months,” he promised.
Revanna clarified that H Vishwanath will continue as the state president of the JD(S) and reiterated that the coalition government in Karnataka is stable.
Stating that the Centre has not released a single paise to the state government for the loan waiver scheme, he urged the BJP leaders not to rake up the issue of loan waiver.
“The farmers need not worry over loan waiver. The state government has not laid down any conditions for the farmers. Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy who has flagged off the programme to distribute debt-free certificates is committed to his words on loan waiver,” he said.
Reacting to the allegation by MP B Y Raghavendra that ministerial berth is for those who have gone with a suitcase, Revanna said, “I do not know suitcase culture. I know only leather bag used for carrying the clothes.”
