New Zealand vs West Indies is a match that will be best remembered for the heroics of Carlos Brathwaite, and the attempted six that was caught by Trent Boult at long on.
New Zealand, put into bat, were dealt severe blows when Sheldon Cottrell removed both their openers in the first over the match. Kane Williamson then steadied the ship and his brilliant 148 helped New Zealand reach 291.
In reply, West Indies were tottering at 164/7 at one stage before Brathwaite scored a breathtaking innings of 101 runs off 82 balls that almost took his team home before falling 5 runs short.
