Arun Jaitley (28 December 1952 - 24 August 2019) was a prominent Indian politician of Bharatiya Janata Party and attorney. He has been the Minister of Finance and Corporate Affairs of the Government of India from 2014 to 2019. Due to ill health, Jaitley had requested Prime Minister Narendra Modi not to include him in the new cabinet ministry.
