<p>Eight Pakistani soldiers were killed in retaliatory firing by the Indian Army in the Naushera sector of Jammu and Kashmir on Monday.<br /><br />Indian troops were responding to the unprovoked ceasefire violation from Pakistan that began early morning and continued till the time of filing this report. <br /><br />“It was a direct hit. Our assessment is that at least eight enemy troops were killed,” a source in the Army told DH. The firing by heavy 120 mm mortars took place near Kalsian Jhangarh at Sapaskote, ahead of Rajouri. <br /><br />Two Indian soldiers also received injuries in the firing.</p>
