<p>Barely 18 hours after a Delhi University (DU) student posted her abuser’s photo on Facebook, the accused was arrested on Monday evening.<br /><br /></p>.<p>After reporting the matter to the police, 20-year-old Jasleen Kaur posted the photo of the accused on Facebook and wrote about the incident. The post went viral within minutes. Jasleen said she was harassed by a youth in west Delhi’s Tilak Nagar area who also brashly posed for a photograph when she said that she would report the matter to the police.<br /><br />“He was on a silver Royal Enfield, vehicle number - DL 4S CE 3623. When I told him that im clicking his picture and I’m going to file a complaint against him, he responded by posing for the picture and said- ‘Jo kar sakti hai kar le. Complaint karke dikha, fir dekhiyo kya karta hun main (sic)’,” Jasleen wrote in her Facebook post.<br /><br />The Facebook post got many people to urge for instant action. As she had lodged a police complaint along with his photograph and bike number, they managed to arrest him on Monday evening. The accused, Sarabjit Singh (26), was arrested from his house in Paschimpuri area.<br /><br />“The accused was arrested and booked under Sections 354A (punishment for sexual harassment) and 509 (word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman) of IPC,” said DCP (West) Pushpendra Kumar.<br /><br />DCP (West) Pushpendra Kumar also said the Delhi Police have announced a cash reward of Rs 5,000 for the girl, a final-year English literature student of St Stephen's college.<br /><br />According to the police, the matter was reported at around 8 pm on Sunday and an FIR was registered. In her complaint, the girl told the police that she was confronted by the accused at a traffic intersection in Tilak Marg, where he passed lewd remarks at her with several others looking on.</p>
