<p>Fiza Mohammed aka Anuradha Bali, who was found dead under mysterious circumstances at her house, was Tuesday cremated as per Hindu rites by her relatives.<br /><br /></p>.<p>Fiza had married former Haryana deputy chief minister Chander Mohan but was later divorced. She was found dead Monday in Sector 48 of Mohali near here.<br /><br />Earlier, doctors at a government hospital at Mohali conducted post-mortem of her highly decomposed body and said there were no signs of any external injury.<br /><br />"Her viscera has been sent for examination to know the exact cause of her death," a doctor said in Mohali, 10 km from here.<br /><br />Fiza was cremated at the Sector 25 crematorium here Tuesday as per Hindu rites.The body was found in a decomposed state. Police said she could have died four to five days back. Maggots and other insects had eaten away portions of her body, including her face.<br /><br />The Mohali police, which is investigating her mysterious death, said that all angles, including suicide, murder and death by consuming something accidentally, were being investigated.<br /><br />"We will wait for the post-mortem and viscera report. Our investigations are on," Mohali district police chief Gurpreet Singh Bhullar said.<br /><br />Anuradha Bali, who married Chander Mohan in Nov 2009 and was later divorced, had remained controversial.<br /><br />She went missing in November 2008 with Chander Mohan. They reappeared in early December 2008 as a married couple after embracing Islam.<br /><br />They got secretly married in Meerut in Uttar Pradesh and changed their names from Chander Mohan to Chand Mohammed and from Anuradha Bali to Fiza.<br /><br />Following the controversy over his affair and second marriage, Chander Mohan, elder son of three-time Haryana chief minister Bhajan Lal, lost his job in the Bhupinder Singh Hooda government.<br /><br />The marriage lasted hardly 40 days, with Chander Mohan suddenly leaving her house Jan 28, 2009 and then did not communicate with her at all.<br /><br />Chander Mohan telephoned Fiza in March 2009 on her mobile phone and divorced her by saying "Talaq, Talaq, Talaq" and followed it up with an SMS to divorce her.<br /><br />She earlier filed a complaint of rape, cheating, intimidation and hurting religious sentiments against Chander Mohan. However, he was given a clean chit by the Mohali police. He had described her complaint as "nothing more than toilet paper".<br /><br />Fiza told the media in 2009 that she had been receiving death threats and feared for her life.<br /><br />In a volte-face, Chander Mohan went to her house in 2009. He apologized to her and told the media that he had never divorced her.<br /><br />However, within days he again deserted her and later underwent Hindu prayers at his hometown Hisar in Haryana to re-convert to Hinduism. Both have not been in touch since then.<br /><br />Fiza later appeared in a TV reality show shot in Malaysia. <br /><br />Originally known as Anuradha Bali and a lawyer by profession in the Punjab and Haryana High Court, Fiza was an assistant advocate general with the Haryana government till 2008. <br /><br />She led a high-profile life and was close to politicians and influential people in Chandigarh.</p>
