In a suspected suicide pact, four youths had reportedly ended their lives by jumping in front of a moving train in Alwar district on Tuesday, police confirmed.

However, police as well as the district administration are investigating the case after reports suggested that the youths had taken extreme step due to unemployment.

Manoj Meena (24), Satyanarayan Meena alias Duty (22), and Rituraj Meena (17), Abhishekh Meena (18) died after being run over by a train on Tuesday evening.

Abhishek, who was in a hospital in Jaipur with serious injuries, succumbed later.

Moreover, their friends Rahul (18) and Santosh (19) have claimed to be eyewitnesses and said that the four were talking about poor job prospects before killing themselves.

Rahul told reporters, "My friends were depressed as they couldn't find a suitable job".

Alwar S P Rajendra Singh said, “We are still investigating the cause because of which the youth took such a step but the prima facie suggests that it was a suicide"

The incident happened ahead of the Prime Minister Modi's rally in Alwar on Sunday.
