<p>Ahmedabad: Hours after Gujarat High Court on Monday resumed work following a month-long summer break, the authorities were forced to close it after they received a bomb threat e-mail. </p><p>The registrar general office issued a notice for closing the court premises after lunch. The notice stated, "Because of unavoidable circumstances, it has been decided to discontinue the functioning of the courts after lunch i.e. after 1.45 pm."</p>.2024 saw highest-ever hoax bomb threats against Indian aviation; max through X.<p>It further added that the courts were requested to "convey to the lawyers that they are not functioning after lunch, also that all will have to leave the premises, as early as possible, as a security check of the whole court premise is required."</p><p>The notice was issued by the order of chief justice Sunita Agarwal. </p><p>Police officials said that soon after they were informed about the threat, they rushed several teams including six bomb detection and disposal squad (BDDS) and dog squad for checking.</p><p>A senior police officer said that the court received the threat e-mail early Monday, claiming that the court will be blown up by the evening. </p><p>While an intense checking was going on since morning, the police official said that nothing suspicious has been recovered as yet.</p><p>Earlier, the Gujarat Cricket Association had received an e-mail threatening to blow up the Narendra Modi stadium ahead of the IPL final.</p>
