Harish Rana funeral: Family and friends bid tearful adieu in Delhi

India’s first person to receive legal passive euthanasia, Harish Rana, was laid to rest in Delhi today. After his demise at AIIMS, his final rites were performed at the Green Park cremation ground on March 25, where his loved ones and well-wishers gathered to bid a peaceful farewell to a man whose life redefined Indian jurisprudence.

Before the last rites, Harish’s corneas and heart valves were donated to AIIMS, fulfilling a noble wish shared by the family to contribute to medical science and patient care.

Friends and well-wishers gathered alongside the Rana family to pay their respects and mourn the passing of Harish.
