Rajasthan BJP chief holds pre-budget discussions

Rajasthan BJP president Madan Rathore held a pre-budget discussion with intellectuals at the party headquarters here on Friday and sought their suggestions.

According to a BJP spokesperson, Rathore said at the meeting that consumers pay tax, so their interests should be considered in the budget.

Senior Congress leader Ashok Gehlot on Friday targeted the BJP over the alleged poor condition of hospitals in Rajasthan and accused the ruling party of ruining the state's "health model".

The former chief minister made the remarks on X as he shared a news report about pregnant women lying on the floor in a government hospital in Pali district.

"The condition of the hospital in the district of two ministers and the BJP state president is the truth of the BJP government," Gehlot said in his post in Hindi.

Centre, Delhi Police conspiring to kill Kejriwal: AAP

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Friday accused the BJP-led Centre and the Delhi Police of conspiring to "kill" its chief Arvind Kejriwal and urged the Election Commission (EC) to restore his security cover provided by the Punjab Police.

There was no immediate reaction from the Delhi Police to the allegation.

The BJP in a statement later in the day called the allegations a "fake drama" and "election stunt" to divert attention from AAP governance failure.
