IT dept conducts raids for 2nd consecutive day

Around 500 officials of the department's investigation wing commenced the searches on Thursday at 7.45am at all the 27 branches of the supermarket including business and residential premises, an income tax department release said.

"Verification of stock and other material is under progress.Search operation still continues", it said.

All branches of the supermarket selling textiles, jewellery, household utensils, furniture, electronic items were closed as soon as the raid began.
