<p>Patna: A week after JMM leader Hemant Soren was sworn in as the 14th chief minister of Jharkhand, 11 of his ministers were administered the oath of office in Ranchi on Thursday. Of these, six belong to the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), four to the Congress and one to the RJD.</p><p>Those who were made ministers from the JMM include Ramdas Soren, Deepak Birua, Sudivya Kumar, Hafizul Hasan, Chimra Linda and Yogendra Prasad. Those from the Congress who found a berth in the Hemant ministry are Deepika Pandey Singh, Radhakrishna Kishore, Irfan Ansari and Shilpi Neha Tirkey. From the RJD, only Sanjay Prasad Yadav, who won from Godda, was sworn in.</p><p>JMM’s Hasan took the oath in Urdu, while the remaining ministers took the oath in Hindi.</p>.Jharkhand High Court exempts CM Hemant Soren from personal appearance in court.<p>Despite securing a landslide victory on November 23, when the Assembly election results were declared, Chief Minister Hemant Soren was the only one who took the oath on November 28. The JMM-led ruling alliance won 56 seats in the 81-member Assembly, with the JMM winning 34, Congress 16, RJD four and the CPI-ML two seats. Meanwhile, the CPI-ML has decided not to join the government.</p><p>As per constitutional provisions, 12 members, including the CM, could become ministers in the 81-member House. However, no other minister was sworn in on November 28 as the allies of the I.N.D.I.A bloc failed to resolve who would be included in the Hemant Cabinet. The deadlock ended late Wednesday night, and the Raj Bhavan was informed accordingly for the oath ceremony.</p><p>Governor Santosh Gangwar, before administering the oath of office to the 11 ministers, ensured the swearing-in of Pro Tem Speaker Stephen Marandi, who, in turn, will administer the oath of office to the newly-elected MLAs when the Assembly convenes on December 9. Chief Minister Hemant Soren, his wife Kalpana, who also won as a JMM legislator from Gandey, were present on the occasion.</p>
