<p>A J Hospital and Research Centre has accredited with National Accreditation Board for Hospitals and Healthcare Providers (NABH) certification by Quality Council of India, said Hospital Medical Director Dr Prashanth Marla K, at a press conference here on Thursday. <br /><br /></p>.<p>The NABH certification would benefit patients, healthcare organisation and the staff. “Patients are the biggest beneficiaries of accreditation because they are sure to get the best care, services and treatment by professionally trained and well qualified medical and para-medical staff,” he said.<br /><br />Stating that only 164 hospitals in the country have got this prestigious recognition, he said that the A J hospital is the first in the coastal region to achieve it. Hospital President A J Shetty said that students of A J Institute of Medical Sciences have achieved best results in MBBS, MD/MS examinations conducted by RGUHS University. Overall, students of the Institute got 50 ranks across the stream of MBBS, MD/MS. Dr Santhosh Narayanan bagged 17 gold medals, a first time achievement in the history of RGUHS University. <br /><br />A J Group Vice President Prashanth Shetty, Dr Ramesh Pai and others were present. <br /></p>
