However, it is hoped that by Saturday, the growth would be visible from the ground, Rohit, a resident of Tumkur who visited the farm, told Deccan Herald.<br /><br />Incidentally, while a section of people described the freak phenomenon as a prelude to apocalypse, others wanted agriculture scientists and rationalists like Hulikal Nataraj to examine the fruit and bring the facts to light. <br /><br />However, amid all this, a group of women performed pooja to the “divine” tree and even offered flowers.<br /><br />“Had the incident occurred in November 2012, people would have believed that it was the end of the world,” Rohit quipped.</p>
