He said Congress had lost the moral authority to remain in power.
.
At a press conference, Ashoka said Siddaramaiah had consistently displayed “arrogant and insensitive” behaviour.
.
He was referring to Monday’s incident, where the CM raised his hand against a police officer at a Congress rally in Belagavi.
.Greater Bengaluru Bill: BJP to fight legally, says Ashoka.
“During his first tenure as CM, he raised his hand against a woman at Varuna, his constituency. More recently, he ignored a woman pleading for help. This is proof of his disregard for the public,” he said.
.
Ashoka accused the CM of belittling senior bureaucrats. “He uses low-level slang and singular terms to refer to deputy commissioners and superintendents of police. This exposes deep-rooted corruption,” he claimed.
.
Targeting Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar, he said, “He keeps asking for evidence. This video is the proof. Let them hand over the case to the ED or CBI for a probe, so that the truth comes out. If they form an SIT under state police, it will only be to give a clean chit.”
.
Ashoka warned that the Congress was rapidly losing public trust.
.
“With only two states under its rule, the countdown has begun for a Congress-free India, by the next general elections,” he said.
