B Y Vijayendra slams Congress for not filling vacancies as per poll promise

Referring to protests in Dharwad and those in Bengaluru, Vijayapura, Bagalkot, Bidar and so on, Vijayendra accused the government of being in ‘Kumbhakarna-like sleep’ and ‘lacking’ the will to create employment.

Bengaluru:  BJP state chief B Y Vijayendra on Wednesday slammed the ruling Congress government for not acting as per its electoral promise of filling vacancies in departments. 

Addressing a press meet, he slammed the Congress for not fulfilling its promise of filling vacancies within a year of coming to power.

“The CM and DCM had promised in their manifesto to fill all vacant government posts within one year. When Rahul Gandhi came to Belagavi, he had stated that if the Congress came to power, 2.5 lakh vacant posts would be filled. But the CM seems to have forgotten everything. Due to the ‘chair war’ between the CM and the DCM, they have no time to find solutions to problems.”

Referring to protests in Dharwad and those in Bengaluru, Vijayapura, Bagalkot, Bidar and so on, he accused the government of being in ‘Kumbhakarna-like sleep’ and ‘lacking’ the will to create employment.

“Despite protests, they have not even uttered a word about it,” he said. He accused the government of blaming previous BJP government for all problems.
