<p>Bengaluru: A 22-year-old man was <a href="https://www.deccanherald.com/tags/arrest">arrested</a> by the Soladevanahalli police for allegedly stabbing his family members, officials said on Wednesday.</p>.<p>The suspect, Harsha K, a diploma holder, and resident of Chikkabanavara in north Bengaluru, was taken into custody, the police said.</p>.<p>Police reports said the attack occurred on the intervening nights of Monday and Tuesday at Harsha’s residence, where he lived with his father Krishnamurthy YV, 51, a security supervisor, his mother Parvathamma, 45, a homemaker, and his elder sister Nayana, 24.</p>.<p>On the night of the incident, Krishnamurthy was sleeping in the hall after dinner, Parvathamma was watching television, while Nayana was asleep in her room.</p>.<p>Krishnamurthy told the police that Harsha suddenly entered the hall around 11 pm, screaming that Krishnamurthy and Parvathamma were not his parents and that Nayana was not his sister.</p>.Bengaluru timber factory manager killed for asking worker to stay away from daughter.<p>Krishnamurthy suggested that Harsha needed medical attention. According to the FIR, this triggered Harsha, who began shouting that they were plotting to kill him by taking him to the hospital.</p>.<p>After a prolonged argument that lasted until 2 am, Harsha called the police, but locked the house and kept the key with him. When Krishnamurthy asked him to open the door, Harsha, in a fit of rage, allegedly grabbed a kitchen knife and stabbed all three.</p>.<p>The injured were rescued by the police and taken to the hospital. Their condition is reported to be stable. Harsha was arrested and is currently in judicial custody.</p>.<p>“The motive was a quarrel over the suspect’s mobile addiction,” a senior police officer told <span class="italic">DH</span>. “He also appeared mentally disturbed.”</p>
